Therapy & Support

  • The initial psychotherapeutic consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You will gain insight into my approach and way of working, while we discuss your concerns, possible therapeutic goals, and any questions you may have about the process.

A trusting therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for successful therapy. For this reason, there is no need to decide immediately after the first session whether you would like to begin therapy with me. Taking time to reflect or arranging another meeting can often be helpful.

If you feel that I may not be the right fit for you, I am happy to recommend a colleague.

  • Individual Therapy

Every person is unique, and so is every psychotherapeutic process. Individual psychotherapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore emotional challenges, personal experiences, and patterns of thought and behavior.

    The Therapeutic Process

At the beginning of psychotherapy, we discuss your concerns, clarify your needs, and define individual therapeutic goals. As therapy evolves, these goals may naturally change and be adapted throughout the therapeutic process.

Once clear goals and a shared understanding are established, the process of psychotherapy can begin.

Regular therapy sessions and continuity are important for a stable and effective therapeutic process. Consistent sessions help build trust, support emotional growth, and create lasting change.

Psychotherapy is based on voluntariness and personal autonomy. You are free to end therapy at any time.

  • When couples are no longer able to resolve conflicts on their own, I support them in navigating relationship or marital crises in a structured and supportive therapeutic setting.

Couples therapy can help restore communication, understanding, and a more positive way of relating to one another. It can also provide clarity about the future of the relationship—whether it can be continued and strengthened, or whether separation may be the more appropriate path.

A healthy relationship is never something to be taken for granted. It is unique to each couple and requires ongoing effort, mutual respect, emotional connection, appreciation, affection, and, in many cases, passion.

Existential-Analytical Psychotherapy

  • This form of psychotherapy is based on Existential Analysis and Logotherapy. It is a phenomenological, person-centred approach that focuses on supporting emotional awareness, personal growth, and meaningful life decisions through therapeutic dialogue.

Psychotherapy in this approach helps people with psychosocial, psychosomatic, and psychologically influenced difficulties in experience, behaviour, and emotional well-being. The aim is to increase psychological flexibility, reduce inner restrictions, and support a more authentic and responsible way of living.

At the centre of this psychotherapeutic work is the concept of existence—a meaningful life shaped by freedom, responsibility, and personal values within the individual’s relationship to themselves and the world.

    Core dimensions in psychotherapy:

    • Can I live? – Do I experience safety, support, and stability?

    • Do I like living? – How do I experience relationships, closeness, and daily life?

    • Can I be myself? – Do I feel accepted, respected, and valued?

    • Why do I live? – What gives my life meaning and direction?

The psychotherapeutic process focuses on emotional experience through phenomenological exploration, dialogue, and biographical reflection. This helps increase emotional clarity, uncover inner patterns, and resolve fixations or traumatic influences.

  • The qualification to become a psychotherapist is regulated by Austrian law. The status “in training under supervision”means that I work independently with clients while being closely supervised by an experienced psychotherapist.

This status does not affect the psychotherapeutic process or the quality of care. The only limitation is that sessions cannot yet be billed through statutory health insurance.

In addition to clarifying the current problem and your expectations during the consultation, there is time to clarify any open questions. After the initial consultation, you can decide whether you feel like you are in good hands with me and whether you would like to have further discussions. Like all other therapeutic sessions, the initial consultation lasts 50 minutes.

If you have physical symptoms, a medical evaluation is necessary!

  • As a rule, the meetings initially take place once a week. The frequency of the sessions can be changed during the course of therapy support. Towards the end of psychotherapy, a reduction in frequency is common. How long the entire therapy process takes depends on various factors. The more demanding the therapy goal is and the more serious and permanent the psychological problem, the longer the psychotherapy will last.

The time for the end of therapy will be determined together with you. Individual sessions last 50 minutes, couples session last 90 minutes.
